In English the name of this resort, "the better bay", implies there are others not as good. You will need to visit several bays of the island to know for sure, but even if you don't have time for that this trip you should fit Cala Millor into your Balearic Island vacation. Located on Majorca's rugged east coast, it is separated from its more quiet and traditional neighbor, Cala Bona (the good bay) by a small rocky headland. The town was reinvented as a tourist destination by Jaume Vicens Andreu in 1933, when he built the Hotel Eureka. Hotel Eureka is now officially recognized as the first hotel in the town, and over the years it has seen Cala Millor grow to accommodate over 16,000 tourist beds in more than 60 hotels.
Cala Millor beach stretches for more than 6 km along a wide sheltered bay which is protected by two large unspoilt headlands. Considered by many to be one fo the best on the island, this beach is perfect for water sport activities including windsurfing, or just relaxing in the clear water.
